The Paseo del Bosque Bike Trail in Albuquerque New Mexico offers tandem teams an excellent alternative to riding on crowded streets. The paved bike trail follows the banks of the Rio Grande river for 16 miles (one-way).
Parking is available at various locations along the route with easy access to and from the trail throughout the city.
Tandem teams will find the distance and scenery to be perfect for this high desert community.
Mid-way along the path keep an eye out for signs directing you along a spur called “Bicycle Boulevard”. This route brings riders off the path out onto lightly traveled streets directly into the heart of old town Albuquerque. Enjoy the sites of this historic district from the comfort of your bike before heading back down to the trail.
